About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technologist - Quality Control to join our dynamic Donor Testing Team in Brampton, Ontario.  In this role you will be required to perform testing, as well as other relevant lab duties.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Perform and records all testing related quality control/assurance activities.
  • Performs routine maintenance and verification of laboratory equipment in accordance with approved work instructions to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintains technical competency and promotes continuous learning.
  • Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.


Education, Training and Experience:


  • A general CMLTO license is required. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in general laboratory practice is required. 
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment involved in testing. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • The ability to function as part of a lab team. 
  • Rotating shift work is involved.
  • Demonstrated regular attendance is required.
