The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 50% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Program Clerk - General to join our dynamic Collections Operations West team. 

 

The Collections Operations West team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing administrative support to all program activities within the Collections and Donor Relations teams.  In this role you will provide support in accordance with all regulations, standards and good manufacturing practice.

Formula for success

  • Program support for Collections, Donor Relations and other related departments.
  • Clerical tasks for other departments as assigned.
  • Handles group bookings for Collection sin the recruitment of blood donors for the region.
  • Relationship building through regular contract with groups and internal Community Development Managers
  • Regular and consistent use of internal group booking software (ESS/AMS/ARM).
  • Assists in developing processes to improve handling Regional Group Bookings.
  • Supports the production of clinic promotional materials for events when required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of secondary education in related field.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills are critical.
  • Strong attention to detail while managing priorities as you multi-task.
  • Minimum two (2) years recent, related office or administrative experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level required using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software.
  • Effective communication in English (both verbally and in writing).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
