About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-time Accounts Payable Administrator to join our dynamic Financial Reporting & Services team.
The Financial Reporting & Services team delivers accurate financial reporting, oversees efficient payment processes, and manages funds to support strategic decisions and operational effectiveness.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing a large volume of invoices in a timely manner using SAP & Tungsten (Kofax).
Formula for success
- Leveraging your skills in accounts payable processing, you will be responsible for managing all assigned vendors using SAP and Tungsten (Kofax) maximize efficiencies in processing invoices.
- Applying your skills in policy compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Canadian Blood Services policies pertaining to purchasing of goods and services are complied with. This may require contact with various Canadian Blood Services cost centre managers, and other staff to ensure the resolution of issues. This includes using critical thinking skills to prioritize and manage the assigned worklist on a daily basis in order perform the role successfully.
- Utilizing your skills in statement reconciliation, you will ensure that all assigned vendor accounts are reconciled monthly and at year end.
- Relying on your skills in workplace safety, you will perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Canadian Blood Services' Corporate Health and Safety Policies and Procedures..
- Applying your adaptability, you will support additional related duties as required
Desired education and skills
- Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably in accounting.
- Minimum three to five years of accounts payable experience in a computerized accounting environment.
- Experience with SAP and Tungsten (Kofax) is required.
- Proficiency in MS365 is essential.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, applying critical thinking and sound judgment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service attitude and ability.
