About the role


Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Analyst, Financial Modelling II-TM1 to join our dynamic Finance and Corporate Services team. In this role you will provide financial and operational modeling, analysis and reporting services to various groups.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Gains a holistic understanding of the business.
  • Provides support to the LOB, LOB Financial Analysts or business area with regard to budgeting, reporting, forecasting ad corporate planning as it relates to TM1.
  • Executes the day-to-day TM1 Business Process activities to ensure data integrity, timeliness and stability within the TM1 environment.
  • Provides on-going training and mentoring for the LOB end-users and LOB Analysts with regard to TM1, discussing its advantages, uses, and Business Modules.
  • Designs, develops and deploys complex (level2) large scale TM1 reports that add insight and decision-making value for the LOB and LOB Analysts.
  • Works with the TM1 Architect in developing TM1 Turbo Integrator (TI) processes, cube rules, data extracts, data validation, and documentation for new TM1 Business Modules.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant Information Technology or Accounting discipline.
  • An accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) and/or IT certification in database administration and OLAP development is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounting and IT experience is required. (IT heavy applicants should have significant exposure to Finance and general business process; Finance heavy applicants should have significant exposure to IT systems and processes).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with OLAP planning tools (Hyperion, Essbase, Cartesis TM1, etc) is required.
  • TMI experience with Cube Views, TI Processes, Rules, Slices, and Active Forms is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP application) is required.
