Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Analyst - Operational Analytics to join our dynamic Support & Operations team.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering insightful management information by using data analysis, key performance indicators, internal and external benchmark data, and data visualization that helps CBS leaders make strategic and informed decisions about supply chain and donor relations operations.
Formula for success
- Leveraging your excellent analytical skills, you will develop and deliver analysis of Supply Chain key performance indicators, operational metrics, and other critical business measures.
- You will gather, integrate, analyze, and validate data using statistical modeling as well as interpret results of Supply Chain analytics to generate business insights.
- Drawing from your reporting experience, you will develop, deploy, and maintain standard reporting and user-friendly dashboards servicing the Supply Chain and broader organization, to assist with operations management and support strategic decisions, with focus on production and distribution.
- Utilizing your customer service and interpersonal skills, you will be the primary subject matter expert in analytics and support related to collections, Supply Chain processes and end-to-end manufacturing, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- You will reconcile data and reports from multiple systems and other departments to confirm excellence in data integrity and consistency across Canadian Blood Services.
- You will support data governance and quality initiatives, identifying and resolving gaps.
- You will assist with system/reporting upgrades through analysis and testing.
- Capitalizing on your strategic skills and experience, you will provide input to the Supply Chain and enterprise strategic initiatives of moderate to high complexity.
- You will analyze portfolio performance measures based in the Key Focus Areas defined by the corporate and Supply Chain Strategy Plans and portfolio management and other project governance stakeholders.
Desired education and skills
- Completion of post-secondary school in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in data/information management and applied statistical analysis.
- Experience developing new KPIs and reports from requirements gathering, concept, development, deployment and reporting, to metric ownership.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
- Experience interpreting and translating detailed data into relevant information framed for a business-centric audience to enable informed decision-making.

- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
- Shift/hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day.
