About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time SAP Business Systems Analyst III -Time Module to join our dynamic IT Internal Customer Experience team within our Digital Solutions and Technology Division.
The IT Internal Customer Experience team is responsible for managing the delivery and operation of SAP services related to employee experience and productivity, making IT more effective, reliable and consistent.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Productivity Applications, you will be responsible for the Time Management and Time Evaluation functional areas, ensuring appropriate levels of integration and information sharing with members of the SAP support teams. You will also support the use of SAP and its various platforms at Canadian Blood Services. This includes supporting SAP end users, analyzing master data and time/pay results, resolving user-related issues, modifying existing SAP functionality, and implementing new capabilities.
Formula for success
- Leveraging your interpersonal skills, you will assess client requirements and participate in regular requirement review meetings led by business representatives related to collective agreement changes to be implemented in SAP.
- Drawing on your critical thinking and analytical skills, you will evaluate potential solutions, estimate effort, perform SAP configuration, and maintain related documentation, including functional specifications, configuration steps, test results, and workplans.
- Leveraging your expertise in SAP configuration, analysis, and testing, you will develop test plans for all phases of testing associated with system changes, including unit, integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
- Collaborating with IT team members, you will conduct SAP system testing within your functional area related to legislative changes, employee entitlements, and collective agreement updates.
- Applying your technical expertise, you will review SAP time entry transactional results, master data, and reporting issues. This includes reviewing audit logs, CATS (Cross Application Timesheet) entries, HR master data, leave request data, Fiori timesheet data, and SAP Time cluster results.
- Utilizing your strong organizational and time management skills, you will respond to SAP end-user requests for third-level support. This includes performing detailed analysis of SAP system errors and time and pay cluster results and providing steps for resolution.
Desired education and skills
- Post-secondary level education in a discipline relevant to the functional area being supported from a recognized academic institution or equivalent experience (Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Human Resources).
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting the SAP Time modules including configuration.
- Hands-on SAP configuration experience must include IMG, work schedules, absences & attendances, time types, quotas, overtime, on-call and call-back, premiums, statutory holidays, pyramiding, vacation and sick leave accruals, time schema and rules, CATS (Cross Application Timesheet).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of Jira, Spinifex-IT, Visual Basic and Solution Manager is considered an asset.
- Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot SAP points of integration and relay technical information to a non-technical audience.

What you can expect
- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
- If you are located outside of Ottawa, you may be expected to travel to our office location in Ottawa annually for in-person team meetings when required.
- May be required to work occasionally on weekends (for cutover activities, deployment of SAP configuration changes or upgrades).
