Cornerstones of the architecture strategy include design, execution and governance as it applies to the architecture and related processes. The Chief Architect works with other leaders on the execution of the technology roadmap to ensure the organization is well positioned for its long-term technology needs.

As an ideal candidate, you bring a post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a University Degree or equivalent. Canadian Blood Services will benefit from your 5+ years of proven experience in enterprise architecture gained in a multi-platform, multi-vendor enterprise system design and integration environment. You bring a minimum of three years leading teams and demonstrable experience working with ERP systems, databases, custom software development and business analytics. Highly valued for your ability to define business challenges and desired outcomes by leveraging architectural methodologies and standard design patterns, you have proven experience creating architectural artifacts that are clear, fit for purpose and effective. You are respected for your positivity, can-do attitude and ability to think strategically and execute tactically with excellence while managing conflicting priorities that require you to respond under pressure. You have a demonstrated expertise in developing and directing new programs guided by your strong financial analysis and project management skills (planning, implementation, change management).

Are you ready to embark on a meaningful and inspiring journey, where what you do matters? Be part of Canada’s lifeline. Because we can all be the reason, the connection, that keeps Canadians living.

Diversity and inclusion play a vital role in ensuring health equity for patients across Canada.
