Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate should be located near our Head Office at 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, or our Toronto office at 67 College Street, Toronto, Ontario, and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Brand Manager to join our versatile Integrated Marketing team.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Brand Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies to strengthen brand awareness and position Canadian Blood Services with employees, donors, volunteers, and the public. To achieve this, you will align the organization with the brand strategy, inspire and mobilize internal and external brand champions, and evaluate key brand performance indicators to ensure intended benefits are attained.

Formula for success
- Capitalizing on your strategic thinking and project management expertise, you will develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies to promote the mission and values of the organization, while managing and overseeing all aspects of branding, including brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
- Tapping into your excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, you will demonstrate leadership in living the brand and serve as the brand subject matter expert, providing guidance to all areas of the organization, external agencies, and partners on the correct application of the brand.
- Drawing on your strategic vision and communication and skills, you will help bring the brand to life for employees, fostering a sense of connection with our mission and values, and making the brand a part of their day-to-day work.
- Using your creativity and strategic marketing skills, you will support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, public relations efforts, and social media strategies to drive brand awareness.
- Harnessing your brand management skills, you will oversee the creation, maintenance and adoption of brand guidelines to ensure a consistent and compelling brand presence across all materials and channels.
- Utilizing your research and analytic skills, you will monitor and analyze brand performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and overall brand health. You will prepare and present regular reports on brand performance and strategy to senior management and provide insights and recommendations for improvement and growth.
- Showcasing your adaptability, you will perform other related duties as required.
Desired education and skills
- Experience in corporate brand management is essential, with a focus on both internal and external audiences.
- University degree in marketing, communications, Business or other applicable areas of expertise.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management, communications (reputation management, internal/external communications) and/or Marketing.
- Exceptional knowledge of brand management strategies, concepts, and practices.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with senior leadership and across functions.
- Proven track record in managing multifaceted projects with large budgets and strong project management skills.
- Strong skills in strategic thinking, tactical execution, financial analysis, and performance measurement.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

What you can expect
- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
