Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Change Management Lead to join our dynamic Enterprise Program Enablement and Project Management Office team. The work of a Change Management Lead is integral to Canadian Blood Services’ role as Canada’s Biological Lifeline.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive change management strategies that support our strategy and align with our business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, executives, and subject matter experts, they will drive successful adoption and execution of large-scale enterprise change initiatives.
The Change Management Lead will have the opportunity to not only oversee the planning and execution of change strategies for key initiatives but also play a key role in establishing an enterprise-wide change management capability, making a lasting impact on our organization's ability to navigate the ever-changing retail landscapeyou will be responsible for the planning, management, design, development, and implementation of projects supporting the IT Strategy & Governance team. You will coordinate, lead and manage the activities of all stakeholders involved in the project team to achieve project objectives in accordance with established cost and time parameters. You may manage two or more large projects simultaneously.
Formula for Success
- You will support leaders in executing change, building trusted relationships, leveraging organizational effectiveness technologies, designing and delivering training, and developing change management methods and evaluation processes.
- You will develop and implement change management strategies, communications, and readiness assessments, while also leading project teams and mentoring colleagues.
- You will partner with business leaders to evolve business practices and strategic plans, implement change initiatives, conduct complex analysis to recommend organizational changes, and develop comprehensive change management plans and governance frameworks.
- You will collaborate with teams to develop and refine communication plans for change and designs and implement a framework for monitoring and evaluating change management success, including addressing stakeholder concerns, risks, and opportunities.
- You stay current with best practices in corporate change management and perform other related duties as required.
Desired Education & Skills
- A university education in a relevant discipline, with a graduate degree or certification in Organizational Effectiveness, Organizational Psychology or Organizational Change preferred.
- Experience in transformation change initiatives required, preferrably in a PMO setting or unionized & regulated environment or healthcare.
- Subject matter expertise in change management methods and communication is required, and preference for any related certifications in this area.
- Seven years of experience in managing and assisting complex change management initiatives, business improvement projects, technology projects and/or consulting work over an extended period of time.
- General management experience – leading teams, large initiatives and achieving measurable results - is an asset.
- Excellent people, communication, presentation and group facilitation skills along with experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience aligning Organizational Effectiveness, change management and enablement and organizational objectives and strategies; a strong change program developer and implementer who has participated in a strategy setting.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
