Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

As a right hand to the Creative Studio Manager, the Creative Operations Coordinator will be at the centre of our Creative Studio, making sure the ideas and talent of the team are supported by clear processes, smart planning, and seamless collaboration.

You’ll also play a key role in connecting the dots across teams, making sure designers, writers and stakeholders have what they need to deliver their best work. This is a role where project management meets creativity: you’ll streamline operations, strengthen relationships, and help build a culture where great ideas can shine.

Formula for success

 

  • Coordinate and oversee creative requests: manage triage, scheduling, work assignments, and ensure timely delivery of creative materials within budget.
  • Support creative operations strategy: assist the Creative Studio Manager with project planning, process improvements and recommendations that increase efficiency and impact.
  • Foster collaboration and communication: build strong cross-functional relationships, clear obstacles, negotiate timelines and maintain effective communication to drive project success.
  • Support teams across the Creative Studio: collaborate with Social Media, Brand, and other teams as needed, helping coordinate priorities and ensure alignment. You’ll also play a key role in supporting leadership with the coordination of high-level projects and initiatives.
  • Track, analyze and report performance: compile feedback and data to measure outcomes of creative activities, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture: harness your creative know-how to steer operations, foster strong partnerships, and keep communication clear and effective, ensuring every project runs smoothly and delivers results that supercharge our team’s impact.

Desired education and skills

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field from a recognized academic institution.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience in an agency or in-house creative team environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Basecamp, Monday.com, Asana, or similar).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to meet goals and performance indicators.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to operating within a team environment that is rapidly changing.

What you can expect

 

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario 40% of the time/days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day.
