Together, with donors, recipients, employees, partners and volunteers, Canadian Blood Services is Canada’s Lifeline, providing lifesaving products and services in transfusion and transplantation for Canadian patients, and safeguarding Canada's systems of life essentials in blood, plasma, stem cells, and organs and tissues.
CBS is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as its Director, Group Donor Engagement and Sales Excellence. Reporting to the Vice President, Donor Engagement & Corporate Reputation, the Director will work collaboratively across the organization to develop and grow a sustainable donor base and ensure a robust pipeline to support the commitment of Canada’s Lifeline to patients. Specifically, the Director will develop and execute strategic national sales initiatives to attract, retain, and expand relationships with corporate and community partners, ensuring alignment with CBS’ mission and long-term objectives. The Director will be responsible for transforming this function and instil a culture of sales excellence by developing talent and implementing innovative and focused sales strategies, performance metrics, and leveraging technology and data insights to refine engagement approaches. This role will also be instrumental in fostering collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance the donor experience and promote lifelong giving. The Director will lead a nation-wide team of sales and relationship professionals who are focused on partner acquisition, retention, and engagement.
As an ideal candidate, you bring post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as business, marketing, or communications. You possess significant experience in leadership roles focused on sales, customer engagement, or business development in B2B or non-profit environments. You are a results-oriented leader with a track record of driving growth, building high-performing teams, and fostering meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and customers. Your drive for results is balanced with a commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships aligned with CBS’ values, driving long-term donor engagement. Your expertise in sales leadership, partnership development, data-driven decision-making, and CRM systems enables you to develop targeted approaches that resonate with diverse donor segments. You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage teams, partners, and donors. A collaborative and adaptable leader, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding CBS’ values and mission.
