Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be working at our Ottawa (1800 Alta Vista Drive) OR Toronto (67 College Street) major site office and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Go-to-Market, Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Integrated Marketing team in our Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation division.
The Integrated Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive, integrated marketing strategies aimed at building Canadian Blood Services’ brand, expanding our donor base, and enhancing donor loyalty.
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Go-to-Market Manager to lead the execution of emotionally resonant, high-impact campaigns that inspire Canadians to join Canada’s Lifeline. This is a highly creative and collaborative role that blends strategy, innovation, and executional excellence. You’ll be responsible for bringing bold ideas to life—ideas that not only look great but work. You’ll collaborate across internal teams and lead relationships with external agency partners to deliver integrated campaigns and inspired marketing activations—including experiential, digital, and grassroots initiatives—that connect deeply with diverse donor audiences. You will play a pivotal role in bringing our new brand platform to life, ensuring it is consistently championed across all touchpoints. Through insight-driven storytelling and a relentless focus on creative excellence, you’ll help shape how Canadians see, feel, and engage with our brand.
Formula for success
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and inspired activations that drive awareness, engagement, and action.
- Translate complex business challenges and audience insights into clear, compelling creative briefs that spark bold, effective ideas.
- Champion the new brand platform across all workstreams, ensuring consistency, resonance, and impact.
- Collaborate across Growth, Brand, Digital, Lifecycle, and Performance Marketing teams to bring campaigns to market with precision and passion.
- Manage agency relationships and lead briefing processes that empower partners to deliver their best work.
- Oversee campaign performance, optimization, and budget alignment to ensure maximum impact.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on campaign delivery, creative innovation, and insight-driven storytelling.
Desired education and skills
- Completion of a university degree in business, marketing or communications, or equivalent work experience is required.
- 7–10+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, campaign management, or related roles.
- 5+ years in a marketing team leadership role.
- Proven experience working with creative and media agencies is a must.
- Financial management, project management and marketing related certificated will be considered an asset.
- Strong creative instincts and a passion for emotionally resonant storytelling.
- Ability to distill complex strategies and insights into compelling creative direction.
- Experience with activations and experiential marketing that bring brand messages to life in real-world settings.
- A track record of delivering work that works—creative that drives real results.
- Collaborative leadership style with a “head and heart” approach.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

What you can expect
- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/days of the week.
- If you are located in Ottawa, you will be required to travel a couple of times per quarter. If you are located in Toronto, you will be required to travel twice per year, and as required.
