Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work at 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, or 67 College Street, Toronto, Ontario based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Manager, Digital Experience Delivery to join our dynamic Integrated Marketing team.
The Integrated Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive, integrated marketing strategies aimed at building Canadian Blood Services’ brand, expanding our donor base, and enhancing donor loyalty.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Experience, you will lead the cross-functional execution of donor-facing digital initiatives across Canadian Blood Services’ web platforms, donor portal, mobile app, in-centre experiences, and more, delivering a holistic, cohesive digital donor experience that ensures measurable business impact across donor acquisition and retention objectives.
In this role, you will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across digital design, development, QA, and vendor delivery, ensuring digital solutions are implemented to the highest technical, usability, and accessibility standards.
You will translate strategic priorities into scoped delivery plans, oversee multidisciplinary internal and external teams, and foster seamless coordination across digital content, UX, design system, development, and technical platform work. You will be a central force in ensuring the organization delivers consistent, accessible, high-performing digital experiences at scale.
Formula for success
- Leveraging your skills in team leadership, you will lead a high-performing digital delivery team across UX, design, development, QA, and coordination, with clear standards and coaching (national scope across web, donor portal, app, digital marketing, and lifecycle digital assets).
- Applying your skills in vendor and agency management, you will manage external agencies and contractors from intake and onboarding to quality control and performance.
- Utilizing your skills in design system governance, you will oversee implementation and governance of the design system with internal teams and vendors, ensuring accessibility and front-end standards.
- Driving your skills in strategic alignment, you will align delivery plans with strategy and roadmaps in partnership with Product, IT, Marketing, Lifecycle, and Creative.
- Monitoring your skills in project oversight, you will oversee timeline tracking, capacity, and risks, and escalate to keep work on schedule and on budget.
- Measuring your skills in performance evaluation, you will define and monitor delivery KPIs such as process efficiency, quality, speed, and volume to drive continuous improvement.
- Contributing your skills in operational planning, you will provide planning input to annual budgets and tool/license needs for efficient operations.
Desired education and skills
- A university degree in Digital Media, Computer Science, UX/UI, Marketing Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years experience leading digital delivery for web or app products, including cross-functional team leadership.
- Comfortable partnering with IT and developers while supporting creative teams and content owners.
- Strong grasp of design systems and component-based workflows in Figma and CMS environments.
- Hands-on with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+), QA workflows and agile tools like Jira or Monday.com.
- Fluent in digital marketing concepts such as SEO, conversion-focused landing pages and A/B testing.
- Proficient with analytics and collaboration platforms like GA4, Hotjar, Looker Studio and Microsoft 365.
- Experience managing vendors or agencies and operating in a matrixed environment with shifting priorities.
