Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Manager, Strategy Planning & Business Integration to join our dynamic Strategic Planning & Business Integration team.
The Manager, Strategy Planning & Business Integration delivers a series of strategic planning and integration management activities for the Collections division. They support and guide the division's leadership on strategy planning, execution, reporting and risk management and the annual development of strategic priority area. They participate in Canadian Blood Services' integrated business planning process to facilitate divisional execution of key strategic and operational priorities.
Formula for success
- Drawing on your knowledge or experience in Management, you will support and guide the Collection division leadership on strategy planning, execution, reporting and risk management.
- Strong planning and organizational skills will help develop and maintain the annual division planning processes, including the development of annual goals, measures, performance plans and budgets.
- You will facilitate integration activities within the division and with other Canadian Blood Services divisions in support of integrated business planning processes to ensure execution of key strategic and operational priorities.
- Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills you will support the Director, Strategic Planning & Integration in issue management and executive committee support, including issues identification, analyses and development of recommendations.
- Leveraging your process driven experience, you will lead the portfolio management processes within the division, including supporting the development of proposals and business cases.
Desired education and skills
- Completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum seven (7) years' experience at the leadership level in business management, planning, strategy formulation and execution.
- Experience in portfolio management.
- Proven customer relationship management skills with a strong ability to manage internal relationships to deliver divisional and enterprise goals.
- Experience in integrated business planning and financial analysis is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery.
- Proven technical data and analytical capabilities are an asset.
