About the role

 

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full-Time Project Management Lead to join our dynamic Continuous Improvement and Reporting team. The work of a Project Management Lead is integral to Canadian Blood Services’ role as Canada’s Lifeline.

 

This is a rare and exciting opportunity with Canadian Blood Services, to grow your skills in the emerging and dynamic sphere of inclusive talent! You will plan, lead and execute on a variety of projects to support Canadian Blood Services’ inclusive talent strategy, while also having the opportunity to collaborate with a high performing team of professionals!

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leads, develops and implements inclusive hiring initiatives with a focus on process improvements, change management and data-driven progress reporting. 
  • Identifies project requirements and activities, and develops strategies. 
  • Researches, coordinates and executes on deliverables. 
  • Develops and maintains project plans, including project benefits, scope, approach, deliverables, risks, timelines and close-out. 
  • Develops communications and change strategies, plans and materials. 
  • Works closely with functional business groups and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and to promote effective relationships to ensure the success of the projects and initiatives.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Post-secondary level education, preferably a university degree in a related field. Preference for a Project Management designation. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience in progressively more complex project management roles. Experience analyzing complex problems, interpreting business needs and developing integrated, creative solutions. 
  • Applied knowledge of project management principles and practices. Knowledge of business processes related to employee recruitment and diversity, equity and inclusion is an asset.   
  • Experience researching and developing material such as policies, guidelines and other resources to support clients.  
  • Proven experience successfully collaborating, communicating and building credibility with senior managers and stakeholders. 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with SharePoint, Teams and SuccessFactors Recruiting are assets.
