Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Project Manager, Transformation Projects to join our dynamic Strategy and Planning team in our Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation (DECR) division.
The Strategy and Planning team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by guiding the integrated recruitment planning process for the division and leading strategic transformational projects. These activities help enable the DECR to build a diverse, healthy donor base that meets patient needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, management, development and implementation of key division projects or components of major complex projects to support the recruitment and retention of donors. You will work closely with business groups and project teams to achieve project objectives within set timelines and budget. You will also provide coordination and contribute to business case development, and project activities, while monitoring progress, analyzing and reporting on related issues and risks.

- Applying your relationship-building skills, you will facilitate collaboration and support from departments, leaders, and stakeholders, ensuring effective change management and project implementation plans are developed and executed.
- Using your ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively, you will actively manage issues that arise during project implementation, working with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and ensure project success.
- Applying your strong attention to detail and analytical skills, you will monitor project performance and outcomes, using metrics and reporting tools to track progress against transformation goals.

Desired education and skills
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex projects, ideally in a transformation or portfolio management capacity.
- Change management certification and/or training is an asset.
- Experience in the healthcare or nonprofit sector is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
