Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for two regular full-time Senior Project Coordinators, Capital Projects to join our dynamic Enterprise Facilities team.
The Enterprise Facilities team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by ensuring effective integration and accountability in providing facility infrastructure management and property services, supporting various workloads, stakeholders, and programs.
In this role, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex capital programs by developing and managing integrated master schedules, coordinating activities across multiple projects, and managing essential documentation. Serving as a central point of alignment, the role ensures timelines, dependencies, and resources are coordinated to achieve strategic objectives.
You will contribute to process efficiency through effective tools and automation, apply consistent scheduling standards, and foster collaboration between project teams and support functions such as finance, procurement, IT, and governance. By maintaining accurate project controls and supporting proactive risk management, you will help enable efficient, coordinated, and high‑quality outcomes from initiation to closeout.

- Demonstrating your organizational and strategic planning skills, you will build and manage integrated master schedules across multiple capital projects, applying consistent practices to ensure clarity, alignment, and a reliable source of truth for all timelines.
- Using your problem-solving and collaboration abilities, you will track progress, identify risks, adjust timelines, and work closely with partners to align schedules with resources and priorities – keeping projects on track and enabling informed decision-making.
- Applying your attention to detail, you will establish and maintain organized systems for storing, sharing, and version-controlling project documentation – ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quick access throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drawing on your technical acumen, you will design and maintain tools, dashboards, and automated processes that streamline data collection, promote consistency in documentation, and enhance transparency by integrating management tools with enterprise systems and recommending improvements that meet evolving needs.
- With a continuous improvement mindset, you will identify and implement enhancements to project planning, tracking, and documentation processes – developing clear guides, supporting team adoption of best practices, and sharing performance insights to drive informed decisions and consistent results.
- Leveraging your communication skills, you will coordinate with different teams to ensure that documentation supports daily operations, protects sensitive information, and meets compliance standards. You will also coordinate efforts across diverse teams to prepare clear visual reports for leadership, and maintain accurate schedules and documentation to support risk management and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Desired education and skills
- Completion of post-secondary level education, preferably a degree in project management, business administration, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in project planning and scheduling, with experience in large‑scale capital projects or multi‑discipline engineering/construction environments.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI‑SP, PSP) is an asset.
- Change management training and/or experience is an asset.
- Experience guiding and influencing project teams, fostering collaboration, and contributing to a positive, high‑performance environment with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify critical paths, analyze complex data, and make informed decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in the use of:
- project scheduling software to develop and manage schedules.
- data analysis and visualization tolls such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Microsoft 365 collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Planner, and Loop.
- Knowledge of risk and stakeholder management concepts.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret business needs, and develop integrated, practical solutions.

What you can expect
- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time/days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
- Travel requirements – Travel to other Canadian Blood Services locations across Canada may be required on a need-to basis for site visits, meetings, or events.
