Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Process Development Specialist - DECR Support Operations to join our dynamic Support & Operations team.

The Process Development Specialist will be responsible for the development, planning, management and implementation of processes within the Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation (DECR) department.

In this role, you will be involved in complex projects and process development initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to help drive performance and achieve organizational goals.

Formula for success

 

  • Leveraging your superb organizational skills, you will lead end-to-end process development for DECR, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, using data to drive decisions, and supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Drawing from your interpersonal skills, you will lead the implementation of standardized processes by working closely with regional teams and frontline staff, resolving issues, supporting change management, and tracking performance outcomes.
  • You will oversee the process development and project portfolio, applying strong project management practices to prioritize initiatives, define deliverables and timelines, and assess implementation success.
  • Applying your strategy skills, you will manage national programs by supporting strategy development, operational planning, communications, and stakeholder feedback as a subject matter expert.
  • You will oversee tracking and reporting for the process development portfolio, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and clear communication of status udpates to senior leadership and internal stakeholders.

Desired education and skills

  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institute.
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in project management, process development and sales.
  • Experience in leading and/or applying process design and implementation.
  • Ability to establish and manage strong, positive relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional departments.
  • Excellent ability to review data and information to develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet required deadlines.

What you can expect

 

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
